Yoko was a healthy 31-year-old when she was suddenly diagnosed with cervical cancer. Within a month, she had to choose between losing her life and losing her uterus.
She chose surgery, and when she regained consciousness her whole body was covered in tubes.
Yet the most difficult thing for her after being diagnosed with cervical cancer was the destruction of her family and the depression that followed.
Then she came to believe that she had a calling rather than an overwhelming fate.
Now Yoko constantly travels around the country, singing and volunteering in order to encourage people.
This non-fiction book about the dreams and hopes of the 39-year-old author will inspire you to take your life more seriously.
A word from the editor:
I want many people to read this book--I have never felt so strongly about a book before. Without giving even the slightest hint of the numerous hardships that she had endured, author Yoko Matsuda spoke to me about her calling with enthusiasm and a smile. Cervical cancer has an adverse effect on the emotional stability of a woman. However, that emotional distress can be avoided with the right knowledge and prevention. I highly recommend this book to people who know someone directly affected by the disease, people with daughters, people suffering from illness and those who know them.
